What is Bespoke Jewellery – A Guide by Velis

You may have heard the word “bespoke” thrown around casually, while a tech innovation or start-up is being discussed, or in conversations about accessories like jewellery, clothes, or furniture. But what does it mean, though, exactly?

“Bespoke” items are made-to-order on a custom basis with extremely personalised service. Everything that has been specially created with the client in mind and close consultation with the client qualifies.

About Bespoke Jewellery

Bespoke items are getting more and more well-liked in the jewellery industry. Soon-to-be brides go through countless Pinterest boards, Internet searches, or social media images to locate the ideal engagement ring.

They see their ideal ring in their mind’s eye, mixing elements of a few similar settings. Perhaps they envision a halo with a diamond fashioned differently and a gold band with smaller emphasis diamonds.

Finding a pre-made, ready-to-wear engagement ring that satisfies all her requirements might be challenging.

Fortunately, engagement rings can be made to fit any preference. When a customer requests bespoke or custom-made jewellery, an experienced jeweller can sit and work with them to design their unique item. At Velis, we do just that and you can customise your own jewellery design and experience with us!

Our Expertise

Velis, a bespoke diamond specialist, creates signature engagement rings and one-of-a-kind, unique jewellery pieces. We’ve crafted unique gold emblems for first responders to share with their families, pendants that convey the emotion of a certain experience, and diamond jewellery fashioned around family heritage diamonds to tell a narrative. Everything you can imagine; we can create together!

When we talk about engagement rings, the customised process truly comes into play. A pre-set ring at the front casing isn’t something every consumer is happy with, and if you are looking for that or a little more there’s nothing wrong with that! With a store where you can browse our inspiration gallery and schedule an appointment to design bespoke diamond jewellery online.

The current trend in engagement rings is uniqueness, and we can assist you in finding the ideal ring for you.

How does the bespoke jewellery process work?

First, we like to meet with our clients to understand their reasons for making the piece and the inspiration behind it.

I then work on creating a more technical and specific brief with the client, including the stones, metals and type of setting they might want.

After that, I create an initial sketch design and review this with the client.

Once the client is happy with the initial concept and design, we will then create a CAD (computer-aided design) image to be approved by the client.

Once the design is finalised and approved, I will acquire the materials and one of our talented artisans can work to create the piece!

I hope this guide to bespoke jewellery has been useful. If you are interested in commissioning a piece of bespoke jewellery, you are always welcome to get in touch with us.
